Calling Young Filmmakers for the Evanston Youth Film Festival

If you’re an aspiring filmmaker 19 years or younger, you might want to consider participating in the Evanston Youth Film Festival, an event from the Evanston Art Center’s springBoard group. Proceeds from the fest help fund EAC scholarships.

The Evanston Youth Film Festival is for aspiring filmmakers 19 years of age or younger.

Calling all young directors, actors, set designers, cinematographers, and aspiring movie moguls. If you are 19 years-of-age or younger and love making short films and documentaries, we invite you to enter the Evanston Youth Film Festival.

We hope you’ll join us for a FREE filmmaker’s workshop on Sunday, October 21 from 1 – 4 pm at the Evanston Public Library in the Community Room on the first floor. The workshop instructor will be, Jon Siskel, an award-winning filmmaker and co-director of “Louder Than A Bomb.” Jon will be on hand to answer questions and reveal some movie-making secrets. Festival screening submission guidelines will be available at the workshop.

This winter, the Evanston Art Center will offer additional filmmaking workshops and classes for young filmmakers planning to enter the contest.

The screening and awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 17

from 1 – 4 pm, location TBD.
